VorTekG3 Airflow Measurement
The VorTekG3 provides superior innovative airflow measurement technology for outside air, duct, fan inlet and fan array that is designed for ease of application, installation and use. The VorTekG3 is the only digital airflow sensing on the HVAC market. It is also the only linear airflow measurement technology available. The VorTekG3 incorporates a modular design concept, BACnet option and the free award winning Accutrol Intuitive Graphical User Interface software.
Velocity measurement is accomplished by the unique, patented, VorTek sensors. VorTek sensors utilize proven vortex shedding phenomena to measure the true airflow velocity independent of changes in temperature, density, and humidity which affect Pitot and thermal airflow measurement systems.

The VTD consists of sensors mounted on duct insertion probes. The modular design allows 1 to 4 probes with up to 4 sensors per probe. Individual sensors provide frequency pulse outputs, which are directly proportional and linear to airflow velocity. The analog output is configurable via the Accutrol Insight graphical software and the selections are 0-20mA, 4-20mA, 0-5V, 1-5V, 0-10V and 2-10V. Either 24VAC or 24VDC power is required for operation.
